BARKER'S ENGINEER COMMENTS:
"The Maverick 1000 showed HUGE gains immediately! Major increase in throttle response in the low end and very noticeable pickup throughout the entire RPM curve was shown. This machine really loved being opened up to breathe! The stock pipes seemed to be very unbalanced due to the way the motor sits. Removing the catalytic converter and trying our best to even out the pipes really made a big difference! You'll also find that this machine's cabin can run pretty warm with all that heat the stock exhaust is giving out. By removing the 44 pounds of stock system you'll notice a big drop in the excess cabin heat."

A Barker's 3/4 dual exhaust system, like all of our systems, is crafted from premium materials. Every bit of Barker's exhaust systems are hand welded here in the USA. The exhaust pipe is made of 304 stainless steel that is Tig welded with seam-reduced interior surfaces for smooth flow. The cans are 6061-grade aircraft aluminum that is powder-coated in a black finish.

At Barkers, we have an extreme amount of dedication and respect for the off-road lifestyle. We understand that owning and maintaining a performance vehicle is no joke and that is why you can expect only the best in Barker's craftsmanship and design. All Barker’s exhaust systems carry a limited one-year warranty against defects in workmanship and/or materials. See our Terms & Conditions for a complete explanation.
We advise that you purchase the Power Commander V Fuel Controller as your new system will require the added fuel flow. When purchased from Barkers, the Power Commander V Fuel Controller is already pre-mapped for your machine. One might also consider purchasing our Quiet Core Insert. Using a Barkers Quiet Core Insert will decrease sound by up to 8 dB and is ideal when riding in those sound sensitive areas.
If you have a Power Commander V that is not already mapped for your Can-Am Maverick 1000, or you have a tendency to ride in vastly different terrains, we recommend purchasing an AutoTune for your Power Commander V. The AutoTune allows you to monitor and adjust your fuel mixture for varying riding conditions or other machine upgrades. For a worry-free experience no matter where you take your machine to ride, the Auto Tune kit can monitor your fuel/air ratio and provide information for updating your Power Commander V fuel controller. You can learn more about the AutoTune for Power Commander V, here. Please note that in order to use the AutoTune, you will need to have an 02 Bung installed on your system.
We recommend that you monitor and check the packing in your muffler after every ride. The length and time your packing will last will vary depending on how and where you ride. When you first notice any sign of the packing depleting within the can, it's time for a repack. Packing will wear out slowly over time, starting at 100% packed. It is normal for an absorption style high-performance muffler to lose packing but once you lose more than about 10-15% of your packing it will deplete faster and faster since it can now move around in the can. It is imperative you do not allow the packing to deplete too far. If your muffler becomes very loud or you hear rattling around inside the can you have completely depleted the internal packing and should not ride the machine until the muffler is repacked with a fresh pillow. Order new packing before you need it!
The Barker's Exhaust Complete Repack Kit is designed to make repacking your Barker's Exhaust Can simple. *NOTE: If you have a dual system you will need to purchase 2 repack kits.
