THE FULL STORY:
The Arctic Cat DVX 400 is a force to be reckoned with! With it’s powerful Suzuki 398cc engine, sharp looks, and superior handling the DVX 400 is a real head-turner! Though the DVX 400 is essentially the same machine “engine-wise” as the LTZ 400 or the KFX 400, it's difference in design and style certainly sets it apart.
If you want to bring your DVX 400 to life, install a Barkers Full Single Inframe Exhaust System! When Arctic Cat released their DVX 400, we could not wait to get our hands on it to install our exhaust system. Since we have already had success with our systems for the LTZ 400 and the KFX 400, we knew this machine had that same great potential. When we installed our Full Single Inframe Exhaust System on the DVX 400, we achieved stellar results. This machine literally wakes up with this system! Achieve better performance throughout the entire power curve and eliminate the sudden fall-off that your stock system experiences near redline when you install a Barkers Full Single Inframe Exhaust System! You will also see increased performance in over-rev, which is particularly useful in competition. Install the Full Single Inframe Exhaust System on your DVX 400 and you will not only notice a significant weight difference, you will hear the difference too. Listen to your DVX 400 blast that deep, throaty sound you’ve been missing! Perhaps we should thank Suzuki for building a motor that was perfectly designed to accept our system? We’ll let you be the judge.
Each and every system that we produce is made from premium materials that are hand welded right here in the USA! While most other after-market exhaust systems can be mass produced on automated assembly lines, Barker's Exhaust systems must be skillfully hand welded one-by-one. The exhaust pipe portion of the Full Single Inframe Exhaust System is made of 304 stainless steel that is Tig-welded with seam-reduced interior surfaces for smooth flow. The can is comprised of 6061 grade aircraft aluminum and comes standard in a brushed aluminum finish. You also have the option to have your can powder-coated in a black finish. For further customization, choose which color Barkers tag you would like. You can choose black, blue, red, or yellow. A strap kit will be included with your purchase to harness your new system to your machine. This system also features a removable aluminum heat shield.
Other options to consider include a Barkers Quiet Core Insert and Spark Arrestor. The Quiet Core Insert will reduce sound by up to 5 dB and is ideal when riding in those sound sensitive areas. Besides, with only a loss of .5 to 1.5 horsepower you may decide to ride with them in all of the time! The Barkers Spark Arrestor will keep any fiery debris from escaping your exhaust and will help to keep our trails safe.
For serious riding, we highly recommend purchasing a fuel controller for your new system. A fuel controller will drastically improve the way your new exhaust system and DVX 400 performs. As your new system will require the added fuel flow, a fuel controller is essential for your DVX 400 to perform at it’s best. For optimal results, your dealer or a skilled technician should program the fuel controller prior to installation. If you are interested in learning more about why you should purchase a fuel controller, please feel free to call us! We promise you will talk to a real person who knows all about it!
At Barker's, we have an extreme amount of dedication and respect for the off-road lifestyle. And we understand that owning and maintaining a performance vehicle is no joke. That is why you can expect only the best in Barker's craftsmanship and design. All Barker’s exhaust systems carry a limited one-year warranty against defects in workmanship and/or materials. See Barker's Terms & Conditions.
MAINTENANCE:
We recommend that you monitor and check the packing in your muffler after every ride. The length and time your packing will last will vary depending on how and where you ride. When you first notice any sign of the packing depleting within the can, it's time for a repack. Packing will wear out slowly over time, starting at 100% packed. It is normal for an absorption style high-performance muffler to lose packing but once you lose more than about 10-15% of your packing it will deplete faster and faster since it can now move around in the can. It is imperative you do not allow the packing to deplete too far. If your muffler becomes very loud or you hear rattling around inside the can you have completely depleted the internal packing and should not ride the machine until the muffler is repacked with a fresh pillow. Order new packing before you need it!
The Barker's Exhaust Complete Repack Kit is designed to make repacking your Barker's Exhaust Can simple.
