When purchasing your Barker's 2006+ TRX 450 exhaust system you have the option of choosing between a round can or an oval can design. The round can features a brushed aluminum (silver) billet clamp or black clamp option. The oval can design features a black, blue, or red billet clamp option.

"The new round can looks awesome and gave the finishing touch to our race quad. We also noticed the clamp was easier to put on with the round can when compared to the oval design. It also gave the quad a sharper sound and felt more torque at the touch of the throttle. This gave us a huge advantage through the rocks and the sandy whoops around the San Felipe loop. The installation of the exhaust went smoothly and everything bolted right up. We just love the way the new round design looks, especially with the two-tone anodized exhaust cap. We could distinguish the sound of our quad through mountains and the wide open desert when it was coming hot into the pits. Every one of Barkers Exhaust Systems is made from premium materials and are handcrafted right here in the USA! While many other after-market exhaust systems can be mass produced from large assembly lines, Barker’s Exhaust Systems are hand-welded one at a time by skilled craftsman. The head pipe portion of your new system is made from 304 stainless steel that has been Tig-welded with seam-reduced interior surfaces for smooth flow. The can is comprised of 6061-grade aircraft aluminum and comes standard in a brushed aluminum finish. You might, however, decide to customize your new system by selecting which color powder-coat you would like for your can. You can choose either a black or red powder-coat finish. Further customize your new system by choosing which color Barker's tag and billet clamps you would like. Barker's tag color options include: black, blue, red or yellow. The billet clamps will harness your new system to your machine. You may choose black, blue or red billet clamps for your new Full Single Exhaust System.
Additional options for the Full Single Exhaust System for your Honda TRX 450 are the Barkers Quiet Core Insert and Barkers Spark Arrestor. The Barkers Quiet Core Insert will reduce sound by up to 5 dB and is ideal for riding in those sound sensitive areas. Heck, with a loss of only .5 to 1.5 horsepower you may even choose to ride with them in all of the time! The Barkers Spark Arrestor will eliminate any flammable debris from escaping the exhaust and will help to keep our trails safe!

MAINTENANCE:
We recommend that you monitor and check the packing in your muffler after every ride. The length and time your packing will last will vary depending on how and where you ride. When you first notice any sign of the packing depleting within the can, it's time for a repack. Packing will wear out slowly over time, starting at 100% packed. It is normal for an absorption style high-performance muffler to lose packing but once you lose more than about 10-15% of your packing it will deplete faster and faster since it can now move around in the can. It is imperative you do not allow the packing to deplete too far. If your muffler becomes very loud or you hear rattling around inside the can you have completely depleted the internal packing and should not ride the machine until the muffler is repacked with a fresh pillow. Order new packing before you need it!
