FULL STORY:

We’ve always known that our Suzuki LTR 450 pipe makes great power, but because we developed it at the beginning of Barker’s we hadn’t really thought to come back to it with any further items or info. Eric at EHS originally did most of the testing with us and has sold many setups as a Big 3 with his Flow Through Intake Lid and EHS Fuel Controller with outstanding feedback.

At that point, we felt it was time to come back to the LTR and put a package together for you as a complete Big 3 setup that bolts on with no modifications needed. You will not find a more cost effective bolt-on modification that will even come close to gaining the power that this Big 3 setup will provide. With this setup, you are literally looking at a 25%+ increase on this motor. Yes, we did say 25%! Huge gains!

On the original EHS Build, you can see on the Dyno Chart that there was a solid peak to peak gain of 9 horsepower on the stock machine using the EHS Controller and EHS Lid. There is also major gains in the over-rev along with great down low gains. It basically comes alive all over the entire power curve.

LTR450, EHS Combo, vs. Stock Dyno

We feel the EHS version Big 3 setup is a great option for your LTR 450. If you want bolt on power with little or no legwork, the EHS setup is the Big 3 setup to go with. If you want to get rid of the Airbox and plan on doing more mods and dyno testing down the road you may want to go with the FCI/PC5 route. Either way, you are going to be bolting on some serious horsepower to your machine.

Each and every Barker's Exhaust System is manufactured from premium materials that are hand welded right here in the USA. When most other after exhaust systems are mass produced robotically, Barker's Systems must be skillfully hand welded one-by-one. The exhaust pipe portion of your new system is made from 304 stainless steel that is Tig-welded with seam-reduced surfaces for smooth flow. The can is comprised of 6061-grade aircraft aluminum and comes standard in a brushed aluminum finish. You may also choose to have your can tips powder-coated in a black, blue, red or white finish for added character. Finish off your new system by selecting which color Barker's Tag you would like. You can choose black, blue, red or yellow.

Other options one should consider include the Barker's Quiet Core Insert and Spark Arrestor. The Barker's Quiet Core Insert is ideal when riding in those sound sensitive areas and can reduce sound by up to 5 dB. With only a loss of .5 to 1.5 horsepower, you may decide to ride with it in all of the time. The Barker's Spark Arrestor will prevent flammable debris from being distributed from your exhaust and will help keep our trails safe!

At Barker's, we have an extreme amount of dedication and respect for the off-road lifestyle. And we understand that owning and maintaining a performance vehicle is no joke. That is why you can expect only the best in Barker's craftsmanship and design. All Barker’s exhaust systems carry a limited one-year warranty against defects in workmanship and/or materials. See Barker's Terms & Conditions.

MAINTENANCE:

We recommend that you monitor and check the packing in your muffler after every ride. The length and time your packing will last will vary depending on how and where you ride. When you first notice any sign of the packing depleting within the can, it's time for a repack. Packing will wear out slowly over time, starting at 100% packed. It is normal for an absorption style high-performance muffler to lose packing but once you lose more than about 10-15% of your packing it will deplete faster and faster since it can now move around in the can. It is imperative you do not allow the packing to deplete too far. If your muffler becomes very loud or you hear rattling around inside the can you have completely depleted the internal packing and should not ride the machine until the muffler is repacked with a fresh pillow. Order new packing before you need it!

The Barker's Exhaust Complete Repack Kit is designed to make repacking your Barker's Exhaust Can simple. *NOTE: If you have a dual system you will need to purchase 2 repack kits.
