2015/2016/2017/2018 Raptor 700 Slip On Horsepower Gains:
The Barker's Slip On Exhaust delivers decent gains when compared to a stock machine, but vs. the De-Cored machine it’s only a touch higher.
In review of the Dyno testing it appears that the slip-on moves the power to the lower end more than the upper. The De-Cored stock machine with no-lid has more power up top in the over-rev but our slip on beats it down low.

2015/2016/2017/2018 Raptor 700 Slip On Exhaust Engineer’s Comments:
The Barker's Raptor 700 slip on took a few tries to get it right making power. This system lets the Raptor breathe and with our megaphone design, it brings on the power right from the start. The low end gains are respectable with a good 3-6 Hp right in the meat of the power between 4,000 and 6,000 rpms.

We found the Air / Fuel ratio to be a bit lean in the lower rpms, just as it was it in stock condition, so we do recommend a fuel controller with this system. It is possible to run without the fuel controller, but we do not recommend it. Also, to maximize the power gains from the slip-on increasing the airflow through the airbox is essential.

It’s a well known thing that many people remove their airbox lid to achieve this, but we always recommend to use a Flow Thru lid like the EHS Racing Lid to be safe instead of just throwing the lid aside. We found that by removing the lid it does lean out the motor quite a bit and will definitely require more fuel to properly run. We HIGHLY recommend a Fuel Controller if you are going to change your intake system.

Barker's Yamaha Raptor 700 Slip On Exhaust Dyno Run

This Dyno Chart shows our 2015 Raptor 700 with our slip-on installed and the EHS Racing Flow Through Lid. This run is without tuning so as you can see the AFR at the bottom is a bit leaner than stock.

Why is a Barker's Raptor 700 Slip On better from other slip on exhausts on the market?

Barker's Slip On exhausts are not your typical “Straight Pipe into a Can” that solely makes your machine louder. Others produce slip on exhausts that don't actually increase horsepower or improve the machine's functionality, they only increase the sound thus providing a false sense of increased speed. Our Slip On exhausts fully utilize our Reverse Megaphone design with our pulse wave technology, which are meticulously tested and tuned to achieve the most performance. We refuse to sacrifice and offer something that doesn’t make power, and you can expect our slip on to deliver more than our signature Barker's sound!
